Fireworks & More at Mt. View Grand Resort

Resort guests can enjoy planned activities throughout the day including children’s activities, 4th of July Carnival, 1865 Wine Cellar tour and a campfire with s’mores. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

Poore Farm Open Barn & Celebration

The 24th Annual Open Barn & Celebration honors the Poore Farm’s founder’s 133rd birthday. The Great North Woods Party, the local chapter of the American Mountain Men, will have a Living Historic encampment at the Poore Farm during the two days.

View the Poore Family Homestead Historic Farm Museum’s to see the many displayed artifacts, meet the directors and volunteers, enjoy the music and some old-world demonstrations.

Live Music on the Porch: Bring your instrument and join in the fun.
Period dressed re-enactors will be on hand demonstrating weaving, spinning and soap making, tanning hides, casting pewter spoons and more. Audience participation is encouraged!

See The American Mountain Men, their traditions and way of life. See how our nation’s greatest, most daring explorers and pioneers lived and survived alone in America’s vast wilderness, using only what nature had to offer. 25th Annual Lupine Festival

Join the fun at the 25th Annual Celebration of Lupines!

Paying homage to the annual blossoming of this captivating wildflower, the Celebration of Lupines is a time honored regional event. The brilliant spikes of the lupine flower carpet local fields and pastures in a rolling sea of vibrant purples, pinks, blues and whites. The long-lasting blossoms attract equally dazzling butterflies and create a breathtaking floral display against the majestic backdrop of the Franconia, Presidential, and Kinsman Mountain ranges. Every visitor is sure to find abundant photo and recreational opportunities in the Northeast’s most spectacular mountain region. Our local greenhouses and businesses will be offering lupine plants and seeds so you to start your own field of lupine.

Ongoing events including Lupine Inspirational Walk and horse drawn carriage rides through the lupine. Special events featuring the Open Air Market with music & artisan demonstrations, Free concerts, Touch-A-Truck, Wildflower Trail Walk, workshops and much more.

Earth Day Open House at AMC Highland Center

Join the AMC for its celebration of Earth Day! We’ll have family friendly activities ongoing throughout the day, including Trailhead pickup, Recycled Crafts, Litter Relay, Energy Savings and more. This year, White Mountain Science Institute joins us to offer a program on Recycled Robots and other cool science. This is a great opportunity for both kids and adults to get involved in conservation. The event will take place rain or shine, with lots of indoor activities in case of rain.

Activity Stations included Recycled Crafts, Earth’s Geology, Energy Savings & Green Technology, Leave No Trace, Recycled Robots and the Lorax Scavenger Hunt.

Schedule activities include 10 a.m. Trailhead Trash Pickup; 11 a.m. AMC & Climate Research; 12 p.m. Mt. Washington Weather Observatory; 1 p.m. Litter Relay; and 2 p.m. Dark Skies Talk.

All activities are FREE and OPEN to the public. Lunch will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bretton Woods Beach Party

Join us on Saturday, March 31, for our 31st Annual Bretton Woods Beach Party. As the 2017-18 ski season draws to a close, there’s no better time to sneak in the last few runs of the year while soaking up the sweet springtime sun.

New Year’s Eve Partybration at Santa’s Village

Santa welcomes you to his 9th annual New Year’s Eve Partybration. We’ll celebrate from 4pm to 9pm on December 31st, 2017. We begin celebrating the new year a bit early for our younger guests, with fireworks at 8pm. Ride on some of your favorite rides and enjoy some of your favorite Santa’s Village treats one last time this year. This all-inclusive (food and soft drinks, rides and festivities) party will feature a DJ who will take requests.

ATTENDANCE IS CAPPED on December 31st, 2017.  This event is expected to sell out — all tickets must be purchased online, and no tickets will be sold at the gate on 12/31/17.  Season pass holders wishing to attend the New Year’s Eve special event must purchase a separate NYE ticket online, while they last.  Tickets are on sale now.

Admission (including food and soft drinks) is: $49 for ages 13+; and $39 for ages 4-12. For current “Tis the Season Pass Holders visiting for the New Year’s Eve Partybration, admission (including food and soft drinks) is: $25 and a current Season Pass for ages 13+; and $20 and a current Season Pass for ages 4-12. St. Kieran’s Presents: The Turning of the Year — A Holiday Celebration!

Seven times  All-Ireland accordion champion John Whelan teams up with American Roots band Low Lily and Scottish-style fiddler Katie McNally for a spectacular holiday mini-fest at St. Kieran’s! Featuring traditional and original music from Ireland, Scotland, and America, this diverse and energetic show will help usher in the holiday season with a bang. This exclusive show brings the generations together for a fresh new take on roots music from both sides of the pond.

The show is much more than a triple bill— the artists perform separately, all together, and everything-in-between. From the sweet sound of the accordion with lush guitar textures behind it, to a blast of reels with everyone playing together, to an American song sung in three-part harmony, this show is dynamic and full of life. If you enjoy Irish and Scottish music, modern American string band music and harmonious vocals, you will love the Turning of the Year!
