Come for a day of old-fashioned fun, beginning with a Parade at 10 am. There will be music and vendors in the park all day, a soap box derby around 11 am, auction at 1 pm; games and bounce houses for kids; street drawings by budding artists; and an amazing day of fun for all.

The North Country Chamber Players celebrate the inaugural concert of their 40th Anniversary summer season with a musical bash with special guests Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield.
The special family-friendly event will feature 22 fabulous musicians and ice cream legends, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, who will narrate Prokofiev’s beloved masterpiece, Peter and the Wolf. The program also includes Tchaikovsky’s celebrated Serenade for Strings and will be followed by a FREE ICE CREAM SOCIAL.
Gates open at 5 p.m. for free Family Fun Zone games, ala carte cookout (fee) and cash bar, and live music with Rust & Ruin, followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Free admission with $5 per car donation for local charity requested. www.brettonwoods.com/july
The Umbagog Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor Errol’s Annual Fourth of July Parade. The parade begins at 1 p.m. from the Errol State Shed on Route 16.
This year’s theme is “Your Favorite Part Of Summer.” A First Place prize will be given to the float that best follows this year’s theme.
Errol’s parade kicks off at 1 p.m., with the theme “Your Favorite Part of Summer.” Other events include building your own handmade fishing pole, kids’ fishing, BBQ, kids’ games and a log rolling contest. Fireworks begin at dusk by the Route 26 bridge.
Pittsburg’s festivities take place at Murphy Dam ball park beginning at 11 a.m. Events include crafters, a flea market, antique car show, vintage old tractor display, chicken BBQ, and kids’ fishing derby. Fireworks will be set off at dusk.
Franconia’s Old Home Day events include a Pancake Breakfast, 5K Fun Run, Magic Show, BBQ, Open House at Dow Academy with tours of the Clock Tower, flea market, art show, library book sale and duck race. A concert featuring Tribute to the Beatles band begins at 7:30, with fireworks following at dusk.
All of Littleton’s Block Party action takes place at Remich Park. Enjoy vendors, music, games, crafts, food prepared by local restaurants, and more from 11 a.m.-8p.m. on July 4.
Colebrook’s July 4 parade begins at 11 a.m. Theme is “Music and Dance Through the Years.” Other July 4 events include a Kids Fishing Derby and a Chicken BBQ on the Colebrook Academy lawn at noon.
“Children’s Wishes, Dreams & Imagination” is the theme of this year’s 4th of July parade, which begins at 10 a.m. and travels along on Lancaster’s Main Street.
