Bretton Woods Ski Area & Adventure Center

Winter at Bretton Woods

Bretton Woods is New Hampshire’s largest ski area with 464 acres of skiing and snowboarding on 62 trails and 35 glades and three terrain parks. Ten lifts, including four high-speed quads, make your ride up the mountain almost as fun as the ride down. If there’s snow falling, chances are Bretton Woods has it — or they can make it with snow-making on 92% of their trails. They also offer night skiing and riding.

Bretton Woods has been ranked #1 IN THE EAST for GROOMING and has held the top two spots in the East for Snow and Grooming over the last FIVE years!

If your kids love bikes, motorcycles, ATVs or even if they have previous experience with snowmobiles, our Kid’s Snowmobile Park will provide them with the thrill and excitement of trail riding in northern New Hampshire.

If you’re looking to try something new, the Bretton Woods Canopy Tour descends over 1000 feet of elevation.  The 3-hour tour takes nature-lovers and thrill-seekers across a series of tree-top zip lines through a network of platforms high in the ancient hemlocks. And the best part – it’s open year-round so you can catch four seasons of high-flying fun!

Cross country skiers and snowshoers will want to spend the day on the Bretton Woods Nordic Center’s 100 km network of groomed trails that meander through field and forest, and — with the Mount Washington range as a backdrop — boast stunning scenery! There’s even dog-friendly trails, plus lift-serviced terrain at the alpine area.

One of the most relaxing experiences in Bretton Woods may be found at The Spa, located in the historic Omni Mount Washington Hotel. With 13 treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms and an outdoor whirlpool, this nature-inspired haven is sure to bring you the peace and relaxation you’re looking for.

From the unique base lodge to the spectacular mountain-top restaurant to the uncrowded and exceptionally groomed trails, Bretton Woods delivers a special mountain experience. Winter activities are generally offered mid-November to mid-April.
