Holiday Family Festival at The Cog

During November 23-25 and December 1-2 we will have some special guests on the train with us! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be welcoming Waumbek Wonderland passengers and kids will be getting a special gift. There will be all kinds of Holiday fun and games back at the Marshfield Base Station after the trip, along with complimentary hot drinks and cookies in the great room.

Trains depart 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 am. Family activities are from 10:30 -2:00 pm.  Visit us online to book the train ride, advance booking is recommended, seating is limited availability.

Snowflake Festival

Head to Colebrook on Saturday, December 9, and join in all the fun at the town’s Snowflake Festival.

Activities include complimentary horse-drawn wagon rides, hot chocolate and cookies, Santa’s Workshop, carolers, live music, outside vendors, enter to win a stuffed animal at participating busineses, shopping shuttle service from Northern Outlet to Lemieux’s Garage/Lin Jo’s, complimentary hot dogs, Christmas card signing for  military personnel, a play at the Tillotson Center, parade, fireworks, and Bed Races!

Thousands of twinkling lights set the stage for the magical Christmas season at Santa’s Village. Youngsters can whisper their Christmas lists to Santa, feed his reindeer, visit the elves and enjoy 18 Christmas-themed rides in the frosty air.

Christmastime hours: November 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, and 27, and December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, and 17. The park opens every day at 11 a.m. Be sure to dress warmly.

Christmastime Admission – $32 per person (children ages 3 and younger are always admitted free).

Old Tyme Christmas

Lancaster our Annual Old Tyme Christmas is great family fun, featuring music and local shopping. Stores on Main Street will be open offering free treats and specials in each individual store. Town Hall and Col. Town Rec Center will be filled with local artisans and their wares. Of course Santa will be there. At the Great North Woods Welcome Center one can come and decorate a giant gingerbread man or ride a horse drawn wagon.

Lancaster’s downtown will sparkle and shine with festive decorations on Thursday, November 30, from 5 to 9 p.m. during Olde Tyme Christmas, a night to stroll the streets and get into the spirit of the season. For a jolly good evening, begin your holiday shopping by browsing the crafters and vendors at the Town Hall and Colonel Town Rec Center, enjoy plenty of food and, of course, plan a visit with Santa at the Town Hall. Parade of Lights in Berlin

Berlin’s Parade of Lights down Main Street is an annual tradition that delights every member of the family with sparkling floats and dozens of displays, topped off, of course, by a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

This year’s theme is Cartoon Christmas, and prizes will be awarded for the best floats: 1st, $500; 2nd, $250; and 3rd, $125.
