MOMS Lancaster Celebrates New Store with Grand Opening, July 22 & 23

North Country on- and off-road riders now have their own go-to powersports store with the Grand Opening of MOMS Lancaster, at the junction of Routes 2 and 3 in Lancaster.

The two-day celebration, on July 22 and 23, will introduce customers to MOMS product selection and service, with giveaways, free food and entertainment, a car show, and celebrity appearances, including New England pro football players.

The MOMS shopping experience includes warehouse-scale product selection, extensive inventories of apparel and accessories, and the very best customer and technical service:

  • Polaris off-road vehicles, including Sportsman ATVs, RZR, RANGER, ACE, and GENERAL models
  • Polaris snowmobiles for trail, deep snow, and rec/utility riders
  • STIHL chainsaws and power products for home and commercial use

MOMS Lancaster’s Grand Opening will feature special prices on select products, free ice cream, and live entertainment. Professional chainsaw artist Alan Reynolds will create wood carvings using STIHL chainsaws, and a STIHL factory rep will be on hand to offer product information. Drawings will be held for door prizes, including STIHL power products, firearms, and ammo (no purchase necessary).

For off-roaders, there will be a free ATV wash using a STIHL pressure washer, along with a car and motorcycle show with MOMS North Country sponsoring the Best of Show and Best Motorcycle trophies.

Local, county, and state dignitaries are expected for the ribbon cutting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 22. Ample parking is available, and the service department will be open both days.

Mud, Music & More at the Jericho ATV Festival Presented by Progressive, August 4 & 5

Get ready for a terrific line-up of Mud, Music & More at the 8th Annual Jericho ATV Festival Presented by Progressive on August 4 and 5. Last year’s Festival drew 6,000 visitors, and the tally at this year’s premiere ATV event is expected to be higher!

Beautiful Jericho Mountain State Park is the setting for dozens of daytime events. While there take the opportunity to explore the Park’s over 80 miles of exceptional trails, directly connecting to over 1,000 miles of trails and terrain in the Ride the Wilds ATV system.

Festival organizers have been busy concocting just the right mix of earth and water to produce all the oozy mud necessary for the always fun and exciting mud pit competitions that include Mud Races and Grudge Runs.

Major manufacturers Polaris, Can-Am, Kawasaki, Textron Off-Road & Arctic Cat will be bringing along their new models for you to dream and drool about! Take a demo ride and see what a new model can do for you. Local business White Mountain ATV Rental will be sponsoring trail bike demonstrations.

The popular RAVE X Freestyle Show returns to the Festival to wow spectators with fabulous stunts that will leave you gasping in awe. Other highlights include the Blessing of the ATVs, Poker Run, ATV Obstacle Course, Youth ATV Simulator, Helicopter Rides, Food, Vintage ATVs and Aftermarket Vendors.

Lots of activities take place in the evening, too, with a Downtown Block Party on Berlin’s Main Street on Friday night, and the Family Music Festival on Saturday evening at Service Credit Union Heritage Park. All events are rain or shine, and all of the city’s streets are ATV friendly.

Friday evening’s Downtown Block Party is a great way to mix and mingle and wrap up your first day at the Festival after a full schedule of events. Join the ATV Torch-lit Parade at dusk, enjoy a ReMax Hot Air Balloon Ride, shop for souvenirs, grab something to eat and visit the beer tent. The evening’s music is by A Shot of JD.

Saturday evening’s festivities get underway at 4 p.m. at Service Credit Union Heritage Park. The family friendly event includes food, a beer tent, a campfire with s’mores and live music by Last Kid Picked.

In conjunction with the Jericho ATV Festival, the Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting #whereswheeler, a fun activity for anyone riding the trails. The colorful figure of Wheeler, dressed in Jericho ATV Festival garb, hides at various places in the woods along the trails. When you find Wheeler, take a selfie with him and post it to the Festival Facebook page and you might win a prize in the monthly drawings.
