AMC International Dinner Adventure Series — Greece

Join us for our 28th year of the AMC’s International Dinner and Adventure Series! This week, we present Touring Greece — From Crete to Meteora, with Paul Cunha, and featuring the Cuisine of Greece.

Wednesday evenings transform into a weekly dinner series of international cuisine followed by an inspiring presentation. The family style dinner features four courses, including soup or appetizer, salad, entrée, bread, dessert. The after dinner program is a cultural and inspirational adventure presented by local and regional guides, explorers, and travelers!

2018 International Dinner prices: $21 AMC Members/ $24 for Non Members. International Dinner packages are available starting at $49 per person, which includes dinner, the presentation, lodging at the Joe Dodge Lodge, breakfast and a trail pass at Great Glen Trails for Thursday. First Day Hike at Milan Hill State Park

The well-groomed, 16 kilometer XC ski trail network in and around Milan Hill State Park, that is maintained by the Nansen Ski Club, will be open for cross-country skiers and snowshoers. Park staff and club volunteers will be onsite with trail maps and suggested routes for skiers and snowshoers of varying skill levels who wish to take a self-guided tour of the Park and its trails. The event will leave from the newly-constructed Warming Hut near the Park entrance, and your adventure will offer opportunities to spot animal tracks and take in expansive views of the Northern Presidential White Mountains from the trails, with the option of a spectacular 360 degree view from the fire tower at the top of Milan Hill, accessed via the Tower. Hot drinks and snacks will be offered back at the warming hut upon your return.

Fish & Chips Special at Beal House

Join us at The Beal House on Sunday evenings, 5-9 p.m., for our Sunday Special – Fish & Chips ($10), and Narragansett Pounders ($2).

New Year’s Eve Partybration at Santa’s Village

Santa welcomes you to his 9th annual New Year’s Eve Partybration. We’ll celebrate from 4pm to 9pm on December 31st, 2017. We begin celebrating the new year a bit early for our younger guests, with fireworks at 8pm. Ride on some of your favorite rides and enjoy some of your favorite Santa’s Village treats one last time this year. This all-inclusive (food and soft drinks, rides and festivities) party will feature a DJ who will take requests.

ATTENDANCE IS CAPPED on December 31st, 2017.  This event is expected to sell out — all tickets must be purchased online, and no tickets will be sold at the gate on 12/31/17.  Season pass holders wishing to attend the New Year’s Eve special event must purchase a separate NYE ticket online, while they last.  Tickets are on sale now.

Admission (including food and soft drinks) is: $49 for ages 13+; and $39 for ages 4-12. For current “Tis the Season Pass Holders visiting for the New Year’s Eve Partybration, admission (including food and soft drinks) is: $25 and a current Season Pass for ages 13+; and $20 and a current Season Pass for ages 4-12. Sorry, “Return Passes” are not issued or accepted during this event. (Children age three or younger enter for free and do not require a ticket.)

 

AMC Presents: Intrepid Descent, A Documentary

Intrepid Descent, a film by Erik Osterholm and Zander Hartung, explores Mt. Washington’s Tuckerman Ravine, the mecca of backcountry extreme skiing.

Experience the wonder of a night time winter walk. Join a Naturalist from the Appalachian Mountain Club on a guided snowshoe tour. We will use our senses (and no flashlights) to navigate the trails while listening for owls calling and exploring our senses.
