International Migratory Bird Day at Weeks State Park

This morning guided bird hike with the Weeks State Park Association begins at 7 am at the parking area along the auto road to the summit of Mount Prospect at Weeks State Park in Lancaster, NH. We will walk up the auto road slowly looking for a variety of recent arrivals of warblers, flycatchers and vireos. We will walk approximately three miles on the park auto road. At 11 am we will regroup and drive over to the boat launch on Martin Meadow Pond to look for loons, eagles and osprey.

Bob Amos, Alan Epstein & Ellen Carlson Mini Concert

Featuring internationally acclaimed bluegrass musician and songwriter Bob Amos, Alan Epstein, who has studied with some of the top mandolin players in the world, and Ellen Carlson, who has been performing on fiddle for over 35 years.

This trio is teaming up to offer the Bluegrass Jam Camp Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and May 6. To kick off the weekend, the pair will offer a mini-concert on Friday, May 4, at 7 p.m. Students of the Jam Camp will receive a free ticket. Tickets $8 online / $10 at the door.

ACT’s May Bird Walk

Join us for ACT’s first bird walk of 2018 on Saturday, May 19, from 7 – 9 a.m. in Littleton! We’ll be out on two of ACT’s properties, near Lowe’s in Littleton and at ACT’s Ammonoosuc River Wildlife Management Area in Lisbon to see and hear the birds returning to our region including warblers, tanagers, vireos, and thrushes.

ACT’s Executive Director Rebecca Brown will lead the group and offer tips and tricks for bird identification including birding by ear.

Registration is required – for your safety and enjoyment we must cap the walk at 15 participants; please be sure to pre-register ASAP. Be aware registration closes at noon on Friday, May 18th. Once registered, you will receive an e-mail with details on the meeting location.  If registration fills up early please reach out to Gal at [email protected] to be added to the wait list as cancellations do happen.
