The Local 1088 Firefighters of Berlin are sponsoring a Luau ATV Poker Run, so wear a Hawaiian shirt and decorate your ATVs with leis and flowers and you can win a prize. All proceeds from the Poker Run go to Operation Warm (new coats for kids).
There’s face painting and games for the kids, and lip-smackin’ barbecue, burgers, hot dogs and a beer tent. There will also be live music!

A weekend of colonial reenactment comes to the Auto Road
Friday, Saturday & Sunday – September 11, 12 & 13, 2020
This event features a colonial encampment of re-enactors representing the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, and Mountain Man periods from 1750 through 1840. This gathering will take place in the fields at the base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road in beautiful Pinkham Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Participants demonstrate the use of appropriate tools, clothing, and firearms from their respective time periods. This event is free and open to the general public with the hope that the education they receive here may spur them on to consider becoming a future participant.
Open to the public: Friday 10am – 4pm, Saturday from 10am – 5pm, & Sunday from 10am – 1pm.
Please, no dogs.

The Lancaster Fair proudly presents Lonestar — the featured entertainment on Saturday night, September 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10.
For more than 20 years Lonestar has logged countless miles touring throughout the world, released several Platinum-selling albums and ten No. 1 singles, earned ACM and CMA awards and inspired rave reviews as far away as London, where The Guardian proclaimed them exemplars of “country’s greatest strength: picture-painting, story-based, tear-your-heart-out lyrics that are the most direct and lucid in popular music.”
Yet all roads lead back to Nashville, where lead singer/guitarist Richie McDonald, lead guitarist/singer Michael Britt, keyboardist/guitarist/singer Dean Sams and drummer Keech Rainwater wrote and rehearsed songs for their tenth album, Never Enders, each one crafted impeccably yet as raw and soulful as all four members’ Texas honky-tonk roots.
Known for merging their country roots with strong melodies and rich vocals, Lonestar has amassed RIAA-certified sales in excess of ten million album units since their national launch in 1995, and achieved ten #1 country hits including “No News,” “Come Crying To Me,” and their crossover smash “Amazed” (which was also #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the first record since 1983’s “Islands in the Stream”, to top both charts). The band’s awards include a 1999 ACM Single of The Year for “Amazed” (the song also won the Song of the Year award), and the 2001 CMA Vocal Group of the Year. With over a 100 dates worldwide per year, they are celebrating over 20 years together. Celebrate all things Moose at the annual North Country Moose Festival! Held annually the weekend before Labor Day, festivities include a moose calling contest, moose chili, live music, artisan & craft vendors, as well as family favorites like horse & wagon rides, a dog show, and maple syrup tasting contest – not to mention the classic car show!
This event is the North Country Chamber of Commerce’s premier fundraising event, drawing thousands each year. It provides a venue for residents, second homeowners and tourists alike to enjoy old-time family fun as well as showcase the many diverse talents and services that are located in the North Country.

New England’s Premier Mountain Bike Race Returns!
Registration for the Moat Mountain 24 Hours of Great Glen is SOLD OUT — but there is plenty of fun on tap for spectators!
For two decades, people from across the country traveled to the base of Mt. Washington in Pinkham Notch, NH, to participate in the 24 Hours of Great Glen (24HOGG) mountain bike race. The first of its kind in New England, the 24HOGG was based on the famed 24 Hours of Canaan in W. Virginia. On a specially designed course at Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center, the 24HOGG started with a modest 11 teams in 1995, and steadily grew with the last race featuring more than 180 teams and 500 participants.
After a 5-year hiatus, in 2020 we welcome back our mountain bike community that has been imploring Great Glen Trails Outdoor center to revive this beloved family-friendly event. With a theme of “Back to the Land of Oz,” based on the classic Wizard of Oz, 2020 will boast a celebration of mountain bike culture with camping and community, bike expo, friendly contests, costumes, music, and food trucks. Festivities also include the 24 Minutes of Great Glen for the kids which had over 80 participants in 2015.
From expert riders to amateur racers and newbies, the 24HOGG long attracted a broad range of competitors and 2020 will continue that tradition. Riders will spend 24 hours challenging the race course around Great Glen on both packed gravel carriage roads and merciless single track. Some tackle the course with teams of family and friends, some choose to challenge alone.

Save the Date for the 11th Annual Jericho ATV Festival, two days of ATV fun – where it’s all about the MUD!
Each year, the Festival gets bigger and better! Rock around the clock! Rock around the mud! Rock around all the exciting fun like ATV pulls, mud pit competitions, demo rides from the major manufacturers, an obstacle course, poker run, concerts and much more.

The Mt. Washington Auto Road opens early on two to three Sundays every summer, allowing guests to drive themselves to the summit of Mount Washington to view the sunrise from the highest peak in the Northeast.
Due to the popularity of these sunrise opportunities, we recommend not waiting until the last minute to arrive as you may spend time waiting at the Toll House due to traffic.
The State Park building on the summit will be open with limited food service on these mornings.
Rising Appalachia brings to the stage a collection of sounds, stories, and songs steeped in tradition and a devotion to world culture. The Little Red Wagon from University of New Hampshire is returning to the Tillotson Center with “The Wildlife in My Life.” Mom, dad and Jamie are moving to the country! What kind of animals will they encounter on the way? And how will mom and dad cope when they find out their new home is already home for a bunch of other furry and feathery friends? If Jamie has anything to do with it, everyone will learn how to love and live with all the critters that make living in the country interesting and fun! Join Jamie in working out how to teach mom and dad about coexisting with native wildlife!
