North Country Moose Festival

Celebrate all things Moose at the annual North Country Moose Festival! Held annually the weekend before Labor Day, festivities include a moose calling contest, moose chili, live music, artisan & craft vendors, as well as family favorites like horse & wagon rides, a dog show, and maple syrup tasting contest – not to mention the classic car show! 

This event is the North Country Chamber of Commerce’s premier fundraising event, drawing thousands each year. It provides a venue for residents, second homeowners and tourists alike to enjoy old-time family fun as well as showcase the many diverse talents and services that are located   in the North Country.

Moose Festival Event at The Tillotson: Merlot and Monet

There is a lot happening in Colebrook during the popular Moose Festival. The Tillotson Center will offer tours of the facility from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, August 24, and the concession stand will be open with popcorn, ice cream and lemonade available for purchase.

Merlot to Monet: From 4-6 p.m., the Connecticut River Artisans Group will sponsor an art class with instructor Judi Calhoun. Enjoy creating a painting you can take home. Admission is $15, supplies will be provided. Space is limited, please call 603-237-8576 or email [email protected] to register.

2017 Moose Festival

The 2017 Moose Festival celebrates northern New Hampshire and Vermont’s largest creature with a family-centered country fair held in Canaan, Vermont, just across the Connecticut River from Colebrook, NH.

A jam-packed schedule of entertainment — Moose Calling Contest, Moose Chili, Classic Car Show, ATV Ride-In, craft fair with more than 75 artisans, horse-drawn wagon rides, dog show, maple tasting, old-fashioned barn dance, and many wonderful family activities — guarantee fun for everyone. And, who knows? You might even see a moose or two moseying along the side of the road.
