The Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio will perform at the Medallion Opera House in Gorham on Thursday, August 9 at 7:00 p.m., with special guest, Carlos Angeles Olmeda.
Based in New Hampshire’s Mount Washington Valley, the Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio are three musicians from three distinct generations and backgrounds, bringing their skills and down-to-earth honesty to bear on original songs and choice covers that

stage of the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas and the legendary Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Heather Pierson (lead vocals, piano, acoustic guitar, tenor banjo, ukulele, melodica) is an award-winning singer/songwriter, classically trained jazz pianist, and performer. With eight previous solo recordings under her belt, Heather’s wise-beyond-her-years
songwriting, bell-tone voice, and world-class chops have catapulted her into the spotlight. Davy Sturtevant (cornet, dobro, acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, harmony vocals) is a veteran touring artist, producer, engineer, songwriter, and performer. Armed with a gorgeous tenor voice and a mighty arsenal of instruments that come to life in his capable hands, Davy is at once a witty, thoughtful, and engaging musical presence. Shawn Nadeau (bass, harmony vocals) brings a rock solid thump informed by a wide spectrum of unique rhythmic and melodic sensibilities ranging from rockabilly to reggae to jazz. Together, these seemingly disparate voices draw on their
respective experiences of the American musical voice – jazz, blues, folk – to create a unique and memorable experience.
Opening the show is Carlos Angeles Olmeda. The Puerto Rico born Carlos hails proudly from the acoustic singer/songwriter school of performance. His music transports listeners to a wide spectrum of emotional and cultural destinations, and his heartfelt delivery is
aimed at changing gears and realigning perspectives. On any given night, fans can hear at least four different songwriting styles in at least two languages performed with passion as well as a sense of humor.
