Summer Fun

White Water Rafting
The best sound on a hot summer day is when rubber hits the rapids and the splash hits you! Cool off on the Androscoggin River with a white water rafting trip. Oh, you'll have some calm waters to get through, but look out when the river starts churning - these are Class IV rapids, the only stretch of them in all of New Hampshire.

Rolling Dog Sled Tours
When the snow goes away for the summer, the dogs at Muddy Paw Kennels in Jefferson don't soak in the sun … they keep doing what they do best and that's taking visitors for a ride.
Wheels replace runners on the sled and the dogs take you through the quiet forests of the Grand North, dappled in summer sunlight.

Summer Events
Summer days are made for celebrations. From the 4th of July to the mighty rivers to Old Home Days and even the majestic moose, there's a reason to visit many of our communities and join in the festivities.
Pull out your calendar and sync it with ours for the many ways there are to enjoy and celebrate on a summer day.

Visiting Santa
Santa Claus may have some very cool digs at the North Pole, but when summer comes, he heads south to his retreat in Jefferson, Santa’s Village.
Generations of children have visited and many come back now with their children and even grandchildren for the curious wonder of everything Christmas - in the summer! The Jolly Old Elf is on duty, ready to listen to the wishes of youngsters who've already made their list!
