Spring Fling

Maple Sugaring
When winter days grow longer and warmer, the sap begins running in the sugarbush. It's a short sweet season, as it's gathered and flows into sugar shacks. Boiled up, it's turned into maple syrup. Plan an early spring trip up north to see the fascinating process … and to have a good excuse to enjoy a plate of pancakes.

Waterfall Watching
When the sun goes to work on the mountain snowpack, the melt heads downhill, creating dramatic waterfalls. See the wonder and the awesome power of nature in the rush of water.

Covered Bridge Tour
They are sturdy structures with history, built to bring people and goods from one side of the river to the other. Covered bridges are charming reminders of another time. They are picturesque, too, well worth a road trip.

Best Fishing Spots
Hang out the 'Gone Fishing' sign, put on the pork pie hat and grab a fishing pole - it's time to go fishing. You could find your own fishing hole, or check out these suggestions for finding the fish - brookies, rainbows, small mouth bass and salmon.

Spring Events
When all is green with the world, the North Country shrugs off winter and welcomes spring, because, you know, it wasn't far behind.
