International Migratory Bird Day at Pondicherry National Wildlife Reserve

This all day event features guided bird walks where visitors may see 100 or more species of birds during their migration north. Sponsored by the Ammonoosuc Chapter of the New Hampshire Audubon Society, the event has two field trip starting times with the first beginning at Airport Marsh in Whitefield at 6 a.m. The second field trip starts at 8 a.m. at the Pondicherry Trailhead on Airport Road in Whitefield across from the Biomass Power Plant. Participants will walk from 3-5 miles on easy terrain looking for a variety of warblers and raptors. Bring binoculars, lunch, water and clothing appropriate for the day’s weather. The event is free and open to the public. Free IMBD posters will be available.
