Hook & Hastings Organ Concert

Join concert artist Susan Ferre as she pulls out all the stops (well, not all at the same time) on the Hook & Hastings Organ housed at St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts. The concert will include a visual representation of art by female artists.

The organ in Saint Kieran Art Center was built for the former church in 1899 by the Boston firm of Hook & Hastings as their Opus 1847. It originally had two manuals and 16 registers. Although it still retains most of its original tonal character and can still be pumped by hand, it was revised in 1985 by George Bozeman, Jr. & Company as their Opus 31.
