Alton Weagle Day at Mt. Washington Auto Road

A celebration of all the firsts at the Mt. Washington Auto Road! Alton Weagle had a passion for Mt. Washington. To show his passion, he climbed the Mt. Washington Auto Road in a number of unique ways: by car, on foot, walking backwards, blindfolded and finally pushing a wheelbarrow full of sugar…just to name a few. This day honors his spirit and the spirit of all those from camels to unicycles to Segways to pogo sticks to autos who have been the first up the mountain. Think you’re up to it?  The Auto Road invites you to dream up a “first ascent” of some kind and run the idea by them – you just may get invited to celebrate with them on May 28th!
