The snow falls early and deep across New Hampshire Grand and by the time mid-December comes around, snowmobilers from all over New England and far beyond make tracks to Coös County, not only to ride a network of more than 1,000 miles of trails, but to enjoy the camaraderie inherent to the sport.
Through cooperative agreements with landowners, New Hampshire has created a trail system, called corridors, that can take snowmobilers from one end of the state to the other.
In Coös County, the snowmobile highway begins at the southern end of it in Jefferson and reaches all the way up to the Canadian border in Pittsburg. Local snowmobile clubs keep these trails exquisitely groomed for riders to enjoy the winter landscape while their clubhouses, located along the trails, provide warm hospitality and a helping hand.
