North Country Chamber Players Winterlude Concert

This year’s Winterlude concert takes the audience on a musical journey through three centuries, from Mozart’s brilliant 1785 piano quartet in E-flat Major… to Cesar Franck’s 1879 piano quintet, a master-work of unbridled passion…to Estonian composer Arvo Part’s ethereal “Spiegel im Spiegel,” or “Mirror in Mirror,” composed in 1978.

Featuring Ronnie Bauch, violin; Aaron Boyd violin, Ah Long New,viola, Jia Kim, violoncello, and Bernard Rose, piano.

In 1777, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed a Divertimento for 2 horns and strings to commemorate the name date of Salzburg’s Countess Maria Antonia Lodron. This remarkable work, filled with symphonic, dramatic and romantic elements, along with the NH premiere of Avner Dorman’s dynamic Piano Concerto in A, will provide a fitting end to the Chamber Players’ historic season.
