The 9th Annual Nansen Winter Carnival gets underway this year from Friday, Feb. 22 through Sunday, Feb. 24, with plenty of activities and excitement for the entire family.

10:00 North Country Mushers Sled Dog Race- Stop by and see mushers and sled dog teams getting ready for their race.

10:00-1:00– Visit Nansen’s Warming Hut and enjoy cocoa, skiing, sledding and snowshoeing! Kids’ Activities with Tin Mountain Conservation Center and Food Vendors also available.

Big Nansen Ski Jump
1:00-4:00 Art Sled Rally! Make your own sled and register to race and win prizes for most creative, most wacky and fastest sleds. Bonfire, food and drink vendors.

Kids’ Ski Fest at Great Glen

A day of fun on cross-country skis for kids in grades 1 through 8 and families! Activities will include: games, a themed ski tour, two-person classic relays, lollipop races, Trails Tracker Character Hunt, snow tubing and more!

Kids’ Ski Fest at Great Glen

Come join us for winter fun on skis for the whole family! Try out the maze, bicycle bumps, and junior jump at the Skier Discovery Zone! Games, team relays, and a scavenger hunt with prizes on trails to the Great Angel Cabin! Beginner lessons and a lollipop race for new skiers. Lunch in our cozy Base Lodge, storytelling, and tubing all day! Parents are welcome and encouraged to take part in all activities offered.

Registration includes a trail pass, lunch, and activities all day. Register in advance, and kids rental skis are free, adults 1/2 off!

Thanksgiving with AMC at Pinkham Notch

During the day Friday – Sunday, we will offer children’s and family-friendly nature walks, activities and day-hikes. Friday Night we will host a traditional New England Dinner buffet style from 5:30-7:30 p.m. followed by an evening program at 8 p.m. featuring New England style music with local musicians Fleur des lis.

Saturday night will be the “Best of” our International Dinner and Adventure series. Buffet style dinner from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Our Chefs will prepare foods from the past 20 years of International Dinner Series menus, offering 3 choices from soup to dessert from around the world. The evening program will feature one of our International Dinner presenters from the 2017 series: Bhutan, Land of the Thunder Dragon with Jack Holmes.
